So, Valve just dropped a line saying they're still working on Mann vs Machine for TF2. Honestly, I’m half-expected to be excited, but the way they phrased it? *“Taking longer than anticipated”*? Bro, we’ve been waiting since 2022.
I mean, the content they’re adding is supposed to be *epic*, right? New classes, maps, maybe even some AI integration? But the dev team’s probably drowning in code. I can imagine the chaos of balancing old-school TF2 mechanics with new stuff. Like, how do you make a “scout” class that’s both fast and viable in a sci-fi setting?
Still, it’s a shame. TF2’s community’s been pretty chill, but without fresh content, it’s starting to feel stale. Especially with all the homelab stuff I’ve been juggling lately—no time to dive into TF2 matches.
But hey, if Valve’s actually making progress, maybe we’ll get a proper release soon. Just don’t make us wait another 18 months.
What’s your take? Still holding out hope for MvM, or are you done with TF2?
