Saw some rumors floating about Acer working on a Predator Atlas 8 handheld, supposedly rocking Intel’s Arc G3 chips. It’s supposed to have an 8-inch screen and might come in both regular and Extreme Arc G3 variants. Given how Intel is pushing their Arc GPUs lately, especially for handhelds, it’s interesting to see Acer jumping in this space.
I’m curious though, with Steam Deck and a bunch of ARM-based handhelds dominating the market, how viable do you guys think an Intel Arc G3-powered device would be? Would it offer enough gaming power or battery life to compete? Also, since it’s expected to be revealed at Computex 2026, it’s still quite a wait.
Would this be a potential option for people wanting a Windows-native gaming handheld, or do you think the software and driver support will hold it back like previous Intel Arc attempts? Anyone here planning to keep an eye on this one? What are your thoughts on Intel Arc chips in handheld form factor?
